What supplies does a Mimaki DTF printer use?
A Mimaki TxF DTF printer runs on five PHT50 inks (cyan, magenta, yellow, black and white), uses Flushing Liquid 03 for daily cleaning and storage, and consumes wear parts on a schedule: wiper blades, cap pads, ink dampers and a W soak pad. DTF film and hot-melt powder complete the job and are sold separately from Mimaki-branded supplies.
The Mimaki DTF supply checklist
Three tiers: what you burn through every week, what you replace on a schedule, and what to keep in the drawer so a worn part never idles the printer.
Consumed every job
- PHT50 White 500 ml, the pack you reorder most
- PHT50 Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black 600 ml
- Flushing Liquid 03 cartridge for daily cap and wiper wipe-down
- DTF transfer film and hot-melt powder, on our DTF pages
Replaced on a schedule
- Wiper blade 33S every 1 to 3 months (10-pack for daily shops)
- Cap pad set, change with the wiper
- W soak pad when saturated
- Maintenance kit before any idle stretch over a week
Keep one on the shelf
- White ink damper or red cap version, matched to your unit
- Color ink damper for the channel that fails NCU
- Cap head assembly and suction nozzle
- F seal rubber and cartridge valve for supply errors

Storing and handling Mimaki DTF supplies
PHT50 ink packs
- Store upright in the box, out of sun, in a room that stays between roughly 10 and 30 C
- Do not freeze; Arizona garages in summer are too hot, keep ink inside
- Rotate stock by the date on the pack and shake white gently before install
- Never top up or transfer ink between packs
Flushing Liquid 03
- Use on a clean polyester swab, not paper towel, which sheds fiber into the cap
- Wipe the cap rim and wiper edge daily and the head surround weekly
- Fill lines with Flushing Liquid for storage over a week using the maintenance kit
- Keep the cartridge capped between uses
Wear parts
- Keep dampers sealed until install; an open damper collects dust
- Change wiper and cap pads together so a fresh blade does not run on a swollen pad
- Log part changes with the date so the next swap is predictable
- Order replacements when you install the spare, not when it fails
Mimaki DTF supplies questions
A Mimaki TxF needs five PHT50 inks (cyan, magenta, yellow, black and white), Flushing Liquid 03 for daily cap and wiper cleaning, and a rotation of wear parts: wiper blades, cap pads, ink dampers and a W soak pad. Add DTF transfer film and hot-melt adhesive powder, which are not Mimaki-branded and are sold on our DTF pages.
Mimaki PHT50 heat-transfer pigment ink. Color comes in 600 ml aluminum packs and white in 500 ml packs. PHT50 is the only ink Mimaki supports in the TxF series and is ECO PASSPORT certified.
Every DTF transfer gets a white underbase across the whole design, so white consumption is roughly equal to all four colors combined on typical garment work. Most shops stock two white packs for every one of each color.
Use PHT50 within the period printed on the pack and keep packs out of direct sun and heat. Shake white gently before installing and keep MCT circulation on so pigment does not settle. Unopened packs store best between 10 and 30 C in the original box.
We do not recommend it. The TxF ink path, dampers and circulation system are tuned for PHT50, and unsupported ink can void Mimaki support and clog the white line. Genuine PHT50 is stocked in Tempe and ships nationwide.
Cleaning the cap rim, wiper and head surround, filling the lines during storage, and running the maintenance kit flush when the printer is idle. It replaces alcohol, which dries and cracks the rubber parts.
Wiper blades every one to three months in daily production, or sooner if cleaning leaves streaks. Cap pads go with the wiper. Dampers are replaced when nozzle dropouts return after cleaning.
