What is a Mimaki DTF printer?
A Mimaki DTF printer is a direct-to-film inkjet printer that prints CMYK and white PHT50 pigment ink onto PET transfer film, which is powdered, cured and heat-pressed onto garments. Mimaki's DTF line is the TxF series: the entry-level TxF150-75 and the higher-output TxF300-75, both with an 800 mm (31.5 in) print width, white ink circulation and ECO PASSPORT certified ink. [1][2]

Mimaki TxF maintenance schedule
DTF printers fail from neglect, not use. This is the routine we recommend to TxF owners; keep the consumables on hand so a worn part never idles the machine.
Every day
- Run a nozzle check before the first job and read the NCU result
- Shake white ink packs gently and confirm MCT circulation is active
- Wipe the wiper blade and cap rim with Flushing Liquid 03 on a clean polyester swab
- Empty the waste ink tank if it is past the line
Every week
- Clean the cap head and inspect the cap pad for swelling or debris
- Check the W soak pad and replace if saturated
- Inspect the F seal rubber on the ink supply path for cracks
- Wipe the platen and film path; powder residue reaches the head
Every 1 to 3 months
- Replace wiper blades (33S kit) before they streak
- Replace ink dampers when nozzle dropouts return after cleaning
- Replace the cap pad set
- Service the D pump if suction weakens
- Run the flushing maintenance kit before any storage over a week

Mimaki makes two direct-to-film printers, the TxF150-75 and the TxF300-75. Both print 800 mm (31.5 in) wide with PHT50 CMYK and white ink. Keep MCT circulation running, shake white packs gently before install, run a daily nozzle check, and replace the white ink damper when dropouts return after cleaning. If the printer will sit more than a week, run the flushing maintenance kit.
Most shops replace wiper blades every one to three months and dampers when nozzle problems persist after cleaning, typically every few months in daily production. Cap pads go with the wiper. Buy the 10-pack wiper kit if the printer runs every day.
Both are genuine Mimaki white ink dampers for the TxF. The red cap version is the updated part specified for later units and firmware; match the part to what is installed in your printer or call us with the serial number and we will confirm.
Flushing Liquid 03 is Mimaki's cleaning solution for PHT50 ink. It is used to wipe the cap and wiper, to fill the lines during storage, and with the maintenance kit to flush the head when the printer is idle. Use it instead of alcohol, which dries the pads.
