Find the DTF printer part by symptom
Start with the cheapest part in each list. Most print-quality failures on a DTF printer are a $10 to $40 maintenance part, not the printhead.
Missing nozzles that come back after cleaning
Starved channels, usually white. Air or a clogged filter in the ink path.
Head dries out overnight
The cap is not sealing or not pulling ink; the head sits open all night.
Streaks, smearing, ink on the nozzle plate
A worn wiper drags ink across the plate instead of clearing it.
Ghosting, double images, position errors
The carriage has lost its place on the encoder strip.

CobraFlex V1 or V2: which parts fit your printer?
CobraFlex 24 inch DTF printers were built in two generations with different capping station, pump, damper and wiper dimensions. Parts are not interchangeable between them, so check before ordering.
V1 parts

Fastest check: measure the wiper blade. 4 3/4 inch is V1, 5 1/2 inch is V2. Rule of thumb: budget about $400 to $700 a year in maintenance parts per CobraFlex 24 inch printer, plus a printhead reserve. That is the cost of two or three lost production days.
How to replace DTF printer damper filters
- Park and power downRun a cleaning so the head is wet, park the carriage over the capping station and switch the printer off. Put on nitrile gloves.
- Open the carriage coverRemove the carriage cover screws and note which ink line feeds which damper; photograph it.
- Clamp and swapClamp the ink line, pull the old damper off the head nipple, fit the new damper and reconnect the line. Replace in pairs.
- PrimeDraw ink through the new damper with a syringe or a cleaning cycle until it is at least half full with no air pocket.
- Clean and capWipe the nozzle plate with a foam swab and flushing solution, replace the wiper if it is worn, and cap the head.
- Nozzle checkPrint a nozzle check; run one more cleaning if channels are missing. Log the date on the printer.

On a CobraFlex 24 inch printer that is about $400 to $700 a year in parts. The Epson i3200 printhead lasts 12 to 24 months with good maintenance.
